CVS & Walgreens 07/15/2011
Ok ... a broken foot, a tired 16 year old, and a 5 year old who didn't want to listen and cried through both stores did NOT make for a happy Mama nor a really successful couponing trip!!!! I think for what little I did get - I did pretty good!!! Here is a small breakdown - Enjoy reading!
CVS : awesome trip due to ECB's from last week!!!!
2 Kellogg's Rice Crispy Cereal $5
2 Reese's Puff Cereal $5
1 Edge Shaving Gel $1.99
1 Twang Bottle (candy for kid) $1.99
after coupons and ECB's ... I paid $0.44
ONLY due to the fact that they do NOT break up ECB's ... it is in whole dollar amts. SO I still left the store with $5 in ECB's for nxt weeks trip and all those items for only $0.44 cents !!!!!
Walgreen's Transaction #1
GUM Super Tip Toothbrush (2 pk) 2.00
Air Wick Starter Kit 7.99
2 - Rice Crispy Treats 8pk 5.00
Infusium 23 Shampoo 5.99
Total before savings $20.98
Total PAID $11.47 with $11 returned to me in Register Rewards!!!!!
Walgreen's Transaction #2
2 Charmin Basic TP 5.98
2 Skittles 14oz 4.00
6 Walgreen's Big Roll TP 3.00
Total before Savings $12.98
Total PAID $1.87 ONLY because they do not break up the Register Rewards - I had another $2 RR that could not be applied so I had to pay the $1.87 out of pocket and then I used the other $2 RR on something for my 5 year old.
SO - All in all it wasn't too bad ... for all of the items listed my total trip cost was $13.78 + my sanity ... not tooooo bad LOL :)
Pic's have everything except the Edge Shave Gel (it's lost somewhere in the car thanks to my daughter) and a bag of Skittles (again, thanks to my kiddo lol)
Now comes to my Walmart and Dollar General trip (minus taking the kiddo so I can save my sanity) ...hopefully get to go tomorrow!!!!

Shopping Trips 07-08-2011
My Walgreen's trip was AWESOME yesterday!!! My total purchase price without tax was $72.90 - after the Walgreen's savings and Coupons my total purchase price was $18.31 !!!! WooHoo =)
3 - Veet Wax Strips 20ct $0.99 per
2 - BenGay Massage Rubs (B1G1 50% off) $8.99 per :: here is a break down of what I got it for ::
$8.99 + 4.50 (50% off) = $13.49
$13.49 - $10.00 (2/$5 coupons) = $3.49 (total cost for both!)
4 - Oral B Tooth Brushes $FREE
1 - KY Intense Gel $29.99 ($15.00 in savings) = $14.99
1 - Extenze 2oz = $FREE
2 - Carefree Panty Liners $FREE
1 - Lady Mitchum Deodorant - $1.24I combined my Wal-Mart couponing trip with my normal shopping trip yesterday .... by the time I got to WM - I had been out and about for about 4 hours ... my cast was itchy, I was hurting, I was NOT in a good mood, the store was full, people were getting in my way and giving me dirty looks for riding in a motorized cart ... so ya ... anyways .... I didn't get much couponing at Wal-Mart this week ... I had done some previous shopping for coupon stuff last weekend (during this sale price though). Here is a few things I did get though ::
$2.00 off my Tide detergent purchase
Dial Lotion for $0.97 cents
Reach Toothbrush for free
Pine Sol for $0.97 cents
$1.00 Ruffles trash bags
and ... about $5.00 combined off my grocery purchase.
Total purchase price (groceries included) was $197.61
After savings applied total was $188.61 .. (not bad for only having real coupon'ing items)
My CVS Trip was FUN!!! but definitely wore me out. There were some AWESOME sales there this week. The only problem I had was my dislike for the current manager up there ... but I will be speaking to someone about that on Monday, so no worries. Devin and I were in the store for about 2 hours ... I did several things that didn't classify as coupon'ing ... just savings. But here is a rough list of what I got.
1 - 14oz Skittles - only cost me $0.50 with the coupon I got from the savings machine.
2 - Dove bars - only cost me $0.75 for both
3 - 12pk Dr Peppers 3/$10 with a $3 ECB return
3 - 12pk 7UP's 3/$10 with a $3 ECB return
2 - Herbel Essance (1 shampoo, 1 styler) BOGO - paid $3.97 total
1 - iTunes $25 card with a $5 ECB return
2 - Oral B Advantage Tooth Brushes $0.99/per (free after ECB of $1/per)
2 - Dawn Dish Soap $0.99/per
5 - 2 ltr Coke Products $0.69/per
1 - Pepto 16oz (on sale for $4.99) After ECB & Coupon $2.49
1 - Gillette Fusion ProGlide $9.99 (minus $4 ECB & $2 coupon = $3.99)
2 - Dove Men+Care Body Wash $10 (B1G1 made it $5)
2 - Degree Deodorant 2/$7 (paid out of pocket on this cause they did NOT have the Dove)
With the 2 purchases above (2 Body Wash/2 Deodorants) $17 which qualified me for the FREE Schick Quattro for Women!!!! Which was an $8.99 value.

CVS 7-2-2011
Well I have definitely learned my lesson!!! I am switching around my coupon trips to the beginning of the week instead of the end of the week for when deals are posted. I like waiting in ways cause it gives me time to keep a good eye on everyone's page and add to my list of possible deals. I got to CVS tonight though and out of everything on my list NONE of it was in stock. The whole 10 minutes I was in the store ... my husband and daughter called me twice. I was trying to rush, definitely a no-no when trying to coupon and the phone calls distracted me ... I forgot to ask the lady for my rain checks =( which means that I lost out on 2 different deals. Oh well. Can't win them all.
That is NOT what I paid though ....
Here is what I was SUPPOSED to get ::
Pringles (to go) $1.00 - $1.00 machine coupon (ECB machine) = FREE pringles ***UGH, I forgot to scan my darn card too ... figures LOL***
RepFresh Brilliant pH Tampons 18ct $6.79 - $1.00 (coupon) = $5.79 OOP
BUT I would have got $6.79 back in ECB which would have made this a $1.00 Money Maker!!! (out of stock, no rain check)
Lumene Eye Cream $3.99 - $4.00 (coupon) = FREE
Well ... this worked out for me and I'll explain soon ... no eye cream though.
Here is what I actually GOT ::
3 - 12pk Dr Peppers 3/$10
Lumene Vitamin C Cream $3.89
Total Purchase Price :: $13.89 + tax
wait ...
Wait ...
WAIT ...
That is NOT what I paid though ....
$4.00 Lumene Coupon (made the Lumene FREE)
$7.00 ECB's
Total Paid $3.25
Gets even better though ... printed out on my receipt was $3.00 in ECB's ... making my purchase ... woohoo ... $0.25 !!!!!

Walgreens Trip 06-25-2011
Walgreens was a quick and rather unplanned trip ... I could have saved a LOT more money had I not been in a rush and been paying attention ... I forgot to hand her 1 coupons for $3 off (UGH) and I didn't realize their Veet 20ct Wax strips were on sale ... So I only cashed in 1 coupon and only bought 1 box ... when i could have got 3 boxes for $0.99 per. Here is a break down ... no pics on this one ... again I was in a hurry and forgot to take them b4 I threw everything in the cabinets.
2 Chex Mix 5.5oz bags $2.00
1 Veet Wax Strips 20 ct $2.99 - $2.00 coupon = $0.99
2 Bengay Cream 2oz $7.98 - $3.00 coupon = $4.98
2 Gillette Body Wash $ 8.98 - $7.49 (combined cpns) = $1.49
2 Charmin 6 pk Double Rolls (on sale) = $5.98
Trip Total $15.44 + tax = $16.14
If I would have payed attention (ARGH!) I could have had the Bengay sale down to $1.98 and could have got 2 more boxes of Veet Strips for a total Veet sale of $2.97 ... it would have dropped my trip balance down to $14.42 (before tax) and I would have walked out of the store with 2 more items .... oh well, learned my lesson!
2 Chex Mix 5.5oz bags $2.00
1 Veet Wax Strips 20 ct $2.99 - $2.00 coupon = $0.99
2 Bengay Cream 2oz $7.98 - $3.00 coupon = $4.98

Walmart Trip 06-25-2011
Trip to Wal-Mart went pretty good in my opinion. I walked out paying less than 1/2 of the amount that it totaled. I got the soda's in this transaction too because I did a price match with Walgreen's on them - that is what sent my total up. Had it not been for the soda's being on the purchase, my total OOP would have only been $10.36 !!
Here is a break down of what I got ::
2 K-Y Jelly 2oz bottles $2.62/per = $5.24 minus 2 coupons for $3/per = $0.76 Money Maker!! ($6 coupons - $5.24)
1 Zyrtec 5ct $5.27 minus $5.00 coupon = $0.27
2 Advil 10ct $1.84/per = $3.68 minus 2 coupons $2/per = $0.32 Money Maker!! ($4 coupons - 3.68)
10 O-Cel-O 2pk Sponges $0.92/per = $9.20 minus $0.75/5 coupons = $5.25 (big mistake on my part - thought coupons were $0.75 off per 2pk of sponges ... but it was every 2 packs was $0.75 off ... got to make sure and read your coupons VERY carefully!!!
1 Dill Relish $0.98 minus $0.55 coupon = $0.43
1 Hunts Ketchup $1.00 minus $0.25 coupon = $0.75
1 Suave Advanced Therapy Lotion $1.67 minus $1.00 coupon = $0.67
2 Kraft Salad Dressing $1.68/per = $3.36 minus $1.00 coupon = $2.36
2 Benadryl Itch Sticks $ 2.38/per = $4.56 minus $2.00/2 coupons = $0.56
3-12pk Pepsi Products = $10.00 (price match to Walgreens)
4-2 liter Pepsi Products = $0.99/per = $3.96 (price match to Walgreens)
Total before Coupons $49.12
Total after Coupons + tax $24.32 :)

Dollar General 6-25-2011
I wasn't looking for any deals when I went into Dollar General earlier today. I just needed to pick up a few essential items for the house. As I was headed out the door I noticed they had put out their 50% off rack, so I walked over to take a look. Well they had a bunch of Kellogg's Fruit Loops marked down due to the fact that the expiration date is in mid July ... well we go through a TON of cereal in my house (i have a 16 yr old and a 10 yr old that love it!) so the expiration date didn't bother me. I got to thinking ... Hmmmm ... I was going to use my Kellogg's coupons ($2.00 total) at Walgreen's later today ... why not use them now?!?! So I asked the lady how much the boxes were originally ... $3 - marked down to $1.50 per!!! Well Walgreen's had their boxes (smaller boxes too!) marked at $1.99 per so I was saving an additional $0.49 per box!!! SO ... I decided the Dollar General ones were a way better buy.
5 Kellogg's Fruit Loops (12.2 oz per) $15.00 original price
$ 7.50 sale price
minus $2 coupon for a Total of :: $5.50 final sale (OOP)

Coupon Money Makers
I just found out is possible to get PAID to pick up items from the store... there are times that your coupons and or Register Rewards (like at CVS or Walgreens, or such places) will actually add up and instead of you paying to purchase the item ... you actually get PAID to purchase the item ... sounds too good to be true but its possible...
CVS currently has a deal (until tomorrow only and I hope I get gas in the car b4 its out!!!) going on where you purchase Zyrtec 24 hr, 5 ct. for $5.99 ... Buy 1, Receive $5.99 Extra Bucks, Limit 1 THEN use your printable coupon http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=ENVQONY4GCVAE YOU Pay $0.99, Receive $5.99 in Extra Bucks
Just thought I'd pass the info along =)

1st in Savings !!!
I was absolutely amazed at myself earlier. I have been on this coupon adventure for about 2 weeks now ... trying to get down how it is done and collecting a small stash of coupons ... well today I decided to venture out to CVS - their BOGO (buy one get one) free deals were too good to pass up on a few things. Plus they had some awesome sales going on! First off .. they had Purex laundry soap for (bogo) free and also Colgate toothpaste (+ i had a coupon for $0.75 off for this too!) ... then they had 12 pk Pepsi products 3/$10 ... 2 litter Coke products $0.79 and Pepsi 2 litter products for $0.88 (they were out of the pepsi product 2 litters though). Well ... I got my laundry soap, my colgate toothpaste, 3-12pks of Pepsi, 2-2 litter sprites, and 1-2 litter Coke, plus 2 ice cream bars (yes i know - not on the coupon venture lol - kids were with me though!). I spent $23.13 with a total savings of ... get this ... $18.83 !!!!!!!! Now that is savings !!!! I was so happy with myself =) Pics posted below!

"Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Hi everyone that may be reading this :)
My sister-n-law and I have formed a closer bond within the past year than the nearly 12 that I've been married. For this I am extremely greatful ... she is a wonderful friend. She also has been digging deeper into her faith and has led me in a lot of ways to do so myself. She started the "Left Behind" series and was so enthralled by it that she encouraged me to read it and is even allowing me the use of the books that she has bought (Thanks Jen!!). I have completed the 1st book in the series, self titled, "Left Behind" and have nearly completed the 2nd book, "Tribulations Force". There are 12 books in the series, all around 500 pages per and if all of them are like the first two they are an awesome read. It gives you a lot to think about. It makes you realize things - things that I am sad to say in my numerous years of being a Christian I haven't looked that deeply at. It's given me the courage to say ... I AM A CHRISTIAN!! and I LOVE OUR GOD, HE IS SO AWESOME!!! ... and not even care what others think ... if you cant accept me for my love of God and my beliefs then you aren't a true friend and the delete button is located next to my name on your page. Sorry if that offends some but hey, I will NO longer deny my Father before others! I may have never uttered the words but some of my actions, as in wondering how it may offend YOU, have been denying Him. I encourage all of my Christian friends to read this series and I also challenge and encourage my non-Christian friends to keep an open mind ... pick up the first one and try it out.
Bring on Book #3 for me ... I am ready for more!
God Bless <3

Sunday Coupons in my area
There were defiantly NOT a lot of coupons in our Sunday papers today. Our closest major newspaper is supplied from 1.5 hours away and I drove to 4 stores looking for one .... didn't find it. A friend of mine happened to grab hers, the last in the bin, at 9am .... I guess everyone was interested in the paper or there are a TON of new coupon people out there! I'm sorry - I want to save money but I do NOT want to have to get up at 5:30-6:00am to get a paper!
I did happen to be able to obtain our local newspaper and it had a small (very small) coupon insert in it this week. I maybe was able to clip $5 in savings ... but $5 is better than none. There was also a $2 coupon for a local restaurant that I would have LOVED to use had it not already been expired ... I am still amazed how you can put out a paper that is supposed to have a current coupon and it expired 13 days ago ?!?!?!
I have decided that I am going to look up and see if I can subscribe to the major newspaper for Sunday's only - that way I do not have to fight to get paper.
Other than my obsessiveness with coupons in the past few days (really its gotten bad, I was excited over a band-aid coupon since my daughter is a band-aid fanatic) I have been enjoying a visit from my 14 yr old nephew that I rarely get to see and spending time with my baby girl. Now its time to start dinner. God Bless =)

Decisions Decisions
I have seen several of my friends start blogs ... they seem fun. So lets give this a shot. \
My name is Angel. I am married to David, whom is my husband/best friend/confident/ and yes sometimes the one I'd like to choke. :) We have 2 wonderful children together that are the light of my life, even on the bad days. I am currently 31 years old and God has surely shown me some of the worst in this world and some of the best.
The kids just recently got out of school and my oldest left today for Omie's house (their grandmother - dad's side). He will be gone for apprx. a month or little more. My youngest, unfortunately has been sick ... so we had to skip the trip this time and she'll have to spend time with Omie later.
I recently started a coupon adventure with a friend of mine. She got me hooked I think. I figure being a stay-at-home Mom ... I could use my "free" time to search the internet for great deals to help my family. Now most moms know ... "free" time as a mother (even a stay at home one) is few and far between the "mom's I need this and can you get me that's" ... so as you can see by the time ... its 2:29am CST ... and I just quit my coupon adventure for tonight about 30 minutes ago. I am proud to say that I believe I have found some good ones for this week and will be sharing my hopeful shopping success with you after my shopping trip tomorrow night.
For now - this ends my 1st official blog!!! woohoo :)
Goodnight all <3
